Who We Serve
The 2nd Chance Promise Program offers behavioral health treatment and resources to populations with special health needs. These populations are often underserved by our current healthcare systems and don’t receive the care they need.
The communities we provide care for include:
- Racial & Ethnic Minorities
- LGBTQ+ People
- Older Adults
- Pregnant And Parenting People
- Individuals In High-Need Zip Codes (those who live in areas that make less than 80% of the US median income)
- Those Who Are Justice-Involved (those who have interacted with the justice system, including previously incarcerated individuals)
We believe in the power of community. We actively engage with local communities across Delaware, including government agencies, community organizations, and grassroots advocates, to help address the root causes of substance abuse and advocate for policies that promote equity, justice, and recovery.
The connection with community organizations also gives us an opportunity to receive referrals for those who may benefit from care at the 2nd Chance Promise Program. We can also refer current patients to resources within their own community for housing assistance, job training, and more.
